Saturday rooftop lunch of three Frederick Romberg mini Martinis and elevated bar snacks at Romberg's, with an optional caviar add-on.
Romberg's is launching Dirty Lunch on Saturday 31 October, and it's not a one-off — it runs every Saturday from then until 5 June 2027. The venue is the rooftop bar at Crystalbrook Kingsley, Level 9, 282 King Street, and it's named after Frederick Romberg, the modernist architect whose bold approach to design the space takes its cues from.
The afternoon starts with the Frederick Romberg Mini Martini Flight, a trio of mini Martinis inspired by Romberg's well-travelled life. Salty, briny and indulgent plates follow, with an optional caviar add-on for those who want to lean into the indulgence. Throughout it all, you've got rooftop views over Newcastle.
The whole thing is built around Romberg himself, who's described as an architect, modernist and barman who did things a little differently. The Dirty Lunch leans into that legacy, with the mini martini flight as the opening act and the salty, briny plates taking over from there.
