Dabble Darts ANZ Premier League

The Dabble Darts ANZ Premier League comes to the Newcastle Entertainment Centre on Saturday 24 October, one stop in a tour that takes the Professional Darts Corporation across Australia and New Zealand. It's billed as the biggest darts tournament the two countries have ever seen, and for good reason: eight elite players from the Australian and New Zealand circuits compete over eight Saturdays, not just for the glory, but for a coveted spot in the World Darts Championship in London.

Simon Whitlock leads the lineup of competitors, with referee Russ Bray on commentary. The tour kicks off in Melbourne before heading to Newcastle, Adelaide, Canberra, Hobart, Wellington, and the Gold Coast, and closes with a Grand Finale in Brisbane. The Newcastle leg is one of those eight Saturdays, with the players fighting for their place on the world stage.

Premier League Darts is described as much a night out as a sporting event, with walk-on anthems, fancy dress, huge 180s, and an arena on its feet, playing as well to a first-timer as to a lifelong fan. Doors open an hour before the first match, with bars and food available throughout and accessible seating bookable through the venue box office.

The session runs from 6:00pm to 11:00pm at the Newcastle Entertainment Centre, 290 Turton Road, Broadmeadow. Tickets are A$249 for a Club Table Seat (18+ admit), A$99 for a Table Seat (18+ admit), A$99 for a Platinum Tiered Seat, and A$69 for a Gold Tiered Seat.
