A long spring lunch celebrating 30 years of Margan with a French-inspired menu and new release wines.
Bistro Penny is hosting the Bistro Penny Spring Release Luncheon on Saturday 14 November, a long spring lunch that marks 30 years of Margan. It's part of the winery's broader calendar of wine, food and special events, so it's one of the bigger dates in their year rather than a standalone thing.
The afternoon is built around a French-inspired menu, and the wine list is the real draw here. They're pouring new release wines alongside Single Vineyard bottles and museum vintages, all side by side, so you can taste the latest alongside the older stuff. If you've followed Margan for a while, it's a good chance to see how the current releases stack up against the ones from years back.
It's a long lunch, not a quick bite, so you'll want to clear your afternoon. The French theme runs through the food, and the wine pours are matched to it. Between the new releases, the Single Vineyard wines, and the museum vintages, there's a fair bit of ground to cover over the course of the meal.
