Aeon Wines are taking over Signal Box for an aperitivo on Friday 24 July, and they're bringing the winemakers along with them. It's a Meet the Maker session, so rather than just drinking the wine, you'll have the people who actually make it on hand to talk through what's in the glass.
Aeon Wines will be the main feature of the night, with their pours running alongside a range of spritzes and cocktails, and snacks to keep you going. If you're just in it for a glass of wine, that works; if you're after something a bit more mixed, there are spritzes and cocktails on the go too. The snacks are there to round it out, so it's a proper aperitivo setup rather than just a tasting.
The Meet the Maker part is the real draw here. Having the winemakers in the room means you can ask them about the grapes, the region, and how they put the wines together, rather than just reading the back of the label. It's a good chance to hear the story behind the bottles directly from the people who made them.
