Weekly Friday night variety show with a guest comedian, long-form improv, music, film and puppets at Bryant Lake Bowl.
That Felt Good is back at Bryant Lake Bowl on Friday, November 13, as part of its weekly run on Friday nights. It's a variety show that starts with a special guest comedian, then moves into long-form improv with music, film and miscellany scattered in. The cast says no two performances are the same.
The whole thing is run by a fuzzy puppet and a ragtag team of skin-covered best friends. That team includes a Henson Company-trained puppeteer, a clown and an opera singer, with a different guest comedian each week. Between the puppet, the opera singer and the clown, you can probably guess the kind of energy they're going for.
The home for the show is Bryant Lake Bowl and Theater, a room in the heart of Minneapolis that seats up to 85 people. It's a small, intimate space with a 9' x 22' stage that's hosted everything from the quirky holiday favorite A Very Die Hard Christmas to musical acts like Dan Wilson, The Civil Wars, Jeremy Messersmith and Soccer Mommy. You can order from the venue's full restaurant and bar menu inside the theater, and there's parking available directly behind the building.
