Weekly Friday night variety show with a guest comedian, long-form improv, music, film and a Henson-trained puppet.
That Felt Good is back at Bryant Lake Bowl on Friday, October 30, from 9:30 to 10:30 PM. It's a weekly variety show run by a fuzzy puppet and a ragtag team of skin-covered best friends. Each Friday it opens with a special guest comedian and settles into a hodgepodge of long-form improv with music, film, and miscellany scattered in. The cast includes a Henson Company-trained puppeteer, a clown, an opera singer, and the troupe's house improvisers, and the show promises that no two performances are the same.
It calls home the Bryant Lake Bowl and Theater, a Lyn-Lake venue with a cozy capacity of about 85 seats and a 9' x 22' stage. The room has hosted acts like Dan Wilson, The Civil Wars, Jeremy Messersmith, and Soccer Mommy, as well as the holiday favorite A Very Die Hard Christmas. It works as a community hub blending theater and live music, with a full restaurant and bar menu served inside.
