Screening of Alfred Hitchcock's 'Rear Window' (1954) at the Riverview Theater as part of the Hitchcock Fest.
Riverview Theater is screening Rear Window as part of its Hitchcock Fest, which runs from Friday, October 23 through Thursday, October 29. The theater is showing each film in the series multiple times throughout the week, so you've got a few different windows to catch this one: Saturday, October 24 at 4:30 PM and 9:15 PM; Sunday, October 25 at 6:45 PM; and Tuesday, October 27 at 2:30 PM.
Rear Window (1954) is one of Alfred Hitchcock's most famous, and it's easy to see why. Jimmy Stewart plays a news photographer stuck in a wheelchair after an accident, spending his days watching the neighbors across the courtyard through a telephoto lens and binoculars. He eventually becomes convinced he's witnessed a murder. It's 112 minutes long, and Grace Kelly stars alongside Stewart.
The screening is part of a larger wave of film festivals hitting the Twin Cities right now. The Walker is running a Hamaguchi series, and the Twin Cities Film Festival is also in the mix, so there's plenty of cinema to choose from across town this month. The Riverview's Hitchcock Fest is the one that keeps coming back to the same director, with each film in the lineup playing several times over the week.
