Annual Halloween pumpkin carving contest at Fletcher's Ice Cream & Cafe, with two carving rounds and voting for first, second and third place.
Fletcher's Ice Cream & Cafe is running its annual pumpkin carving contest again this October, and it's now in its third year. It's not a one-day thing, though. They've split the competition into two separate groups: the first carves from October 13 to 20, and the second takes over from October 21 to 28. Voting opens for each group as soon as they finish, so you'll get to see the first batch of pumpkins before the second one even starts.
Entries are judged, and there are prizes for first, second, and third place. If you're more of a fan than a carver, you can still get involved by voting for your favorites. The whole thing is part of a larger Halloween program the shop has lined up, so the contest is just one piece of the month.
One of those pieces is the Ice Cream Rave on Friday, October 23. It's a glow-in-the-dark party with black lights and a live DJ set by @bellaliyamusic. There's a photo corner by the entrance, and if you show up in costume, you get a free topping on your ice cream. There's also a costume contest that night, with fans voting for their favorite look through the shop's social media stories.
