Riverview Theater is screening Alfred Hitchcock's Psycho on Monday, October 26, at 4:30 PM and again on Tuesday, October 27, at 6:45 PM. It's part of the Hitchcock Fest, which runs from Friday, October 23, through Thursday, October 29, with each title showing multiple times throughout the week. If you're in the neighborhood, you've got two chances to catch this one.
Psycho is probably the most iconic of Hitchcock's movies, and it still lands more than 60 years after its debut. The story follows Marion Crane, a real estate clerk who goes on the lam with a wad of cash and ends up at the notorious Bates Motel. The motel is run by Norman Bates, who spends his time caring for his housebound mother. From there, things take the turn that's made the movie a permanent part of the cultural conversation. It runs 109 minutes and is rated R.
On screen, you'll see Anthony Perkins as Norman Bates, alongside Vera Miles and Janet Leigh. It's a good time to see it on the big screen, especially as part of a week dedicated to the director's work. If you're planning to make a night of it, the theater is at 3800 42nd Ave South in Minneapolis.
