Drop-in activity for Fall Break to make beaded keychains and watch films, free for all ages.
Open Studio: Fall Break is at the Minneapolis Institute of Art on Friday, October 16, a drop-in day for anyone with kids home for the break. It's a free activity for all ages, so you can just show up whenever it fits your morning or afternoon.
The main thing running all day is beaded keychains, which they'll have going from 10 AM to 4:30 PM. It's a drop-in setup, so you don't have to be there right when it opens—you can roll in mid-morning, spend some time stringing beads, and head out whenever you're done. If you're coming with kids, it's the kind of thing that works whether you've got an hour to kill or a whole afternoon to fill.
Between the crafting, they're screening two films. The Nightmare Before Christmas starts at 11 AM, and Goosebumps (the 2015 version) follows at 2 PM. Both are in English or with English subtitles, so they're easy to follow regardless of where you're coming from. If you time it right, you can catch a movie and keep working on your keychain around it, or just pick one and call it a day.

It's all free, and it's open to all ages, so it works for families with little ones or older kids who just want something to do while school is out.
