Intimate solo guitar evening by Lyle Brewer, a Berklee professor and fingerstyle virtuoso, ahead of his new album 'Learning Curve'.
Lyle Brewer plays solo guitar at Jazz Central Studios on Saturday, October 24, from 6 PM to 7:30 PM. It's an intimate solo set, and it comes just ahead of the November 12 release of his new album, Learning Curve, which he describes as melodic, adventurous and rich with emotion.
Brewer is a Massachusetts guitarist and a professor at Berklee College of Music. He's one of those rare players who moves between jazz, folk, classical and fingerstyle without really sounding like he's switching gears. USA Today called his technical ability "staggering," and Vintage Guitar praised his distinctive voice and his devotion to the song. He was a founding guitarist of Neighbor, and he's performed with Lori McKenna and Ryan Montbleau.
