Comedian and writer Jacqueline Novak brings her one-woman show 'Get On Your Knees' to The Parkway Theater.
Jacqueline Novak brings her new comedy show to The Parkway Theater on Friday, December 11. She's a comedian and writer who has spent the last few years working across the stage, the screen, and the page, and this is her latest solo outing.
If you're not familiar with her, Novak's one-woman show Get On Your Knees earned a New York Times 'Critic's Pick' and a 2020 Drama Desk Award nomination for Outstanding Solo Performance. It sold out off-Broadway, toured nationally and internationally, and eventually became an Emmy-nominated Netflix special directed by Natasha Lyonne. That's the kind of run that puts a performer on the map, and this new show is what comes after.
Outside the theater, she co-hosts the podcast Poog with Kate Berlant and is a regular guest on Late Night with Seth Meyers and The Tonight Show. She also writes: her debut memoir, How to Weep in Public: Feeble Offerings on Depression from One Who Knows (Crown), celebrates its tenth anniversary this year. She's returning to Minneapolis with notions, jokes, revelations, and a fire to entertain and delight.
