A free community block party celebrating creativity, healing, wellness and connection with live music, food and activities.
Pillsbury House + Theatre and KRSM Radio are bringing back their annual community block party, Inside Out, on Saturday, October 17, at the Pillsbury House + Theatre Campus in South Minneapolis. This is the fifth edition of the party, and the theme this year is Vitality.
That theme didn't come out of thin air. It grew from a survey Pillsbury House + Theatre ran with South Minneapolis residents, who named mental health, burnout, access to resources, and opportunities for connection as their top priorities. The afternoon answers those concerns by pairing the party with wellness activities, family programming, and health resources. It's a block party that keeps the party side—the music, the food, the crowd—and adds the stuff that actually matters to the people living around it.
On the music side, KRSM DJs will be on the decks, and Brass Solidarity will bring the live sound. There's also the Makers Series on Screen, featuring artists All at Once, Drag Story Hour, Queen Drea, and Body Watani. Between the live acts and the screen, there's enough to keep you hanging around for the whole afternoon.

It all goes down from 1 PM to 5 PM on Saturday, October 17, at the Pillsbury House + Theatre Campus, 3501 Chicago Avenue South. Admission is free.
