A community festival with handmade gift items, make-and-take stations, music, art, puppets and treats to celebrate the winter season.
Flux Frost Fest returns to the Flux Arts Building on Saturday, November 21, from 10 AM to 5 PM. Now in its third year, the festival fills the building with local artists selling handmade, gift-worthy items, with make-and-take stations where you can actually get your hands dirty. You can work with polymer clay at the Clay Squared Gallery or head upstairs to the Art To Change the World Headquarters to make holiday gift cards with linocuts by artist Bryce Mason.
The whole thing is built around celebrating the light during the dark winter and learning how different cultures mark it, with free cookies and snacks on hand. New this year is a Winter/Holiday Decor and Cards/Stationery Swap: bring pre-loved small-to-medium holiday decor, cards, or stationery and take home something new to you, or just bring and just take. It's a low-stakes way to refresh your holiday stash without buying anything new.
