Annual winter fiber art celebration at the Textile Center with a community river-themed art installation, hands-on demonstrations, makers market and free exhibitions.
Textile Center is hosting Fiber Art for All: Tributary on Saturday, February 20, 2027, from 10 AM to 4 PM. It's their annual winter celebration of fiber art, and this year marks the fifth anniversary of the event. The theme is Tributary, and it centers on the intersection of fiber art and waterways.
The day's main draw is a community project: visitors are invited to contribute a handmade fiber art scene representing something they love about Minnesota's rivers. That could be waves of blue, water activities like fishing and swimming, or the plants and animals that call the river home. All those individual pieces are then joined together into a single community artwork. The grand reveal of that project, the Fiber River Walk, happens during the day.
Beyond the community project, there are hands-on fiber art demonstrations to watch, and you can shop in The Stashery and the Artisan Shop. There are also free exhibitions on display and a coffee cart on hand. It's the kind of day where you can spend an hour or the whole six, depending on whether you're there to make something, buy something, or just wander through.
