Off Wax night headlined by Barrister at Berlin Minneapolis, with DJ sets by Effy and Kwey closing the evening.
Barrister plays Berlin on Thursday, November 19, as part of the Off Wax series. It's his debut at the venue, and he's the main feature of the night, with Effygasm and Kwey taking over for the closing DJ set.
Off Wax is a session dedicated to music of the African diaspora, and this installment keeps that focus. Barrister takes the lead, and when he's done, Effygasm and Kwey step in to close the night with a DJ set they describe as warm, rooted, and in flow. Between the two, the music runs from the main set through to the end of the evening.

Berlin is at 204 N 1st St in Minneapolis. Most of the room is seated, with a handful of standing-room-only spots, and there's street parking available nearby. The show runs from 7 PM to 9:30 PM, and tickets are $15.
