Third annual Halloween night of tribute music, costume contests, and prizes at Icehouse.
Ghostchella returns to Icehouse on Friday, October 30, for its third annual edition. It's a Halloween night put on by Coffee Break Entertainment and DancingFish Events, and the whole thing is built around local artists paying tribute to their favorite musicians and bands. The music runs from 8 PM to 11:30 PM, with the evening rounded off by costume contests, prizes and giveaways.
This year's lineup leans into the heavy side of the classics. The Clayton Ryan Band takes on Black Sabbath and Ozzy, and Jillian Rae does Led Zeppelin. Joan of Profile rounds out the bill. Between the two tributes, you've got a good chunk of the hard rock canon covered in one night, and the costume contest gives you a reason to actually dress up for it.
If you're planning to go, it's worth knowing the timing. Doors open at 6 PM, and the music doesn't start until 8 PM, so there's a two-hour window to get in, grab a drink and settle in before the first set. The music runs through 11:30 PM, and the costume contests and prizes happen toward the end of the night.
