Adorable are playing Bryant Lake Bowl on Wednesday, October 21, with the show running from 7 PM to 8 PM. It's an improvisational comedy set by the Twin Cities duo, fronted by veteran performers Butch Roy and Jen Scott.

If you've never seen them, the thing to know is that they build the whole show on the spot. They don't come in with a script or a set of rehearsed sketches; they dig into grounded relationships and the funny side of them — slow-burning, often ridiculous and sometimes sweet — and create new material right in front of the audience. Because it's all made up as they go, no two nights are the same, and what happens on stage depends on where the scene takes them.

Adorable has been around for a while, too. They formed back in 2008, so Roy and Scott have been working together as a duo for nearly two decades. That kind of history shows up in the way they play off each other, and it's a good thing to keep in mind when you're watching them build a scene from nothing.
