All-ages holiday show in which Adam Bohanan mixes soul, funk and R&B with Hanukkah classics and new songs.
Adam Bohanan brings A Very Funky Hanukkah Show to The Parkway Theater on Sunday, December 6, 2026. It's an all-ages night, and the show itself runs about two hours, working its way through a variety of funky and soulful Hanukkah songs—modern takes on the classics alongside new music written specifically for the show.
Bohanan is a singer whose music draws from soul, jazz, funk, and R&B, a sound that's been described as Stevie Wonder meeting D'Angelo. Growing up Black and Jewish, he wanted a holiday show that represented both sides of his heritage, and he drew inspiration from 8 Days Of Hanukkah by Sharon Jones and the Dap Kings to build one, mixing soul, funk, and R&B with Jewish history and his own childhood memories.
He's also a face you might recognize from The Voice—he was a semifinalist on Season 26 on Team Reba, where he became known for his "dirty soul" style. He plays around the Twin Cities and tours nationwide, and this show is presented by The Parkway Theater.
