Third annual winter solstice market with handmade gifts, herbal goods and an outdoor fire at the healing arts centre The Qi House.
The Qi House is hosting its 3rd Annual Winter Solstice Market on Saturday, December 20, from 10 AM to 5 PM. It's a one-day market set up around the solstice, which the organizers frame as a celebration of the coming light. There's an outdoor fire going to keep things warm while you browse, so it's the kind of afternoon that works even when the weather is leaning hard into winter.
The tables will be filled with handmade gifts and botanical goods. You'll find The Elemental Values card deck, ceramic brushes, bells, wall hangings, and small bowls. The Sacred Wild is bringing room sprays, and That Food Girl has healing botanical goods. There are also dream pillows and brooms made of lemongrass and sweetgrass. Photographer Paul Nelson will be there showing his new coffee-table book, Wild Birds Flying.
It helps to know where this is happening. The Qi House is a neighborhood healing arts center that does acupuncture, Chinese herbal remedies, cranial sacral therapy, energy work, coaching, and feng shui. The market fits right into that—handmade gifts, herbal goods, and a fire outside on a cold December day. It's a single day of shopping for things you can't exactly pick up at a big-box store.
