Live concert by Australian electronic pioneers The Avalanches at the Roundhouse in Camden.
The Avalanches are playing the Roundhouse in Camden on Friday 6 November, with a second date following on Friday 27 November. Both shows are in the Main Space, so there's plenty of room to move.
If you're not familiar with them, The Avalanches are Australian electronic pioneers who've spent more than two decades building a sound that's hard to pin to one genre. They're known for taking thousands of samples and layering them into rich, euphoric compositions — the kind of music that feels like it's made of a hundred different records playing at once. Their debut, Since I Left You, is the one that put them on the map, and they've followed it with Wildflower and We Will Always Love You, each one pushing their approach a bit further. Between those, they've racked up hundreds of millions of streams and a global following.
Seeing them live is a different thing from listening to the records. On stage, that sampling process comes to life, and the set draws from across their career, so you'll hear the early stuff alongside the newer material. It's a good way to get a sense of how they've worked over the years, rather than just one era.

There are two dates to choose from: Friday 6 November at 6pm and Friday 27 November at 7pm. Tickets are £42.65, and both shows are at the Roundhouse in Camden, so you've got a couple of Fridays to pick from if one doesn't suit.
