Outdoor sketching walk led by illustrator Lucia Vinti through Battersea's green spaces, part of the EcoFest programme at Moleskine.
Lucia Vinti is leading a sketch walk through Battersea's green spaces on Saturday 24 October, starting from the Moleskine store in Battersea Power Station. It's part of EcoFest at Moleskine, a month-long programme of sustainable art and creativity running from 1 to 31 October at the store.
Vinti is a London illustrator, artist and educator whose work celebrates people, places, food and culture. You might have seen her work at the Moleskine Creative Store, on Minuty's limited-edition rosé bottles, or in Gail's bakeries. The walk she's leading is about drawing while moving rather than from a fixed spot: expect at least an hour of walking with sketching stops of five to ten minutes each, plus one-to-one guidance in observational drawing and an eco-friendly, experimental approach to printmaking.
It's open to all experience levels and to anyone aged 16 and over, so you don't need to be an artist to join in. Every participant gets an A5 Moleskine sketchbook to take with them, and the organisers advise wearing shoes and a coat you don't mind getting a bit dirty. The session isn't wheelchair accessible.
