Nia Archives (Emotional World Tour)

Nia Archives plays Alexandra Palace on Thursday 26 November, as part of her Emotional World Tour. It's a night presented by AEG, and the show is for ages 16 and over.

Archives is touring her second album, Emotional Junglist, which earned a Mercury Prize nomination. You'll hear tracks from it like 'There Goes Ma Head', 'Dance With Me 2nite', and 'Get Me Down', the latter featuring Jorja Smith. The set is built around that record, and she's bringing three special guests along for the night: Cannelle, NEW YORK, and Trickpony.

For a bit of context, Archives was born in Bradford and raised in Leeds, and she's come to be one of the most talked-about voices in UK music. Her sound blends jungle and breakbeats with intimate songwriting, and she describes it as paying homage to her Jamaican heritage and the soundsystem culture she grew up around in Leeds, drawing also from hip-hop, jazz, samba and rave. She's picked up multiple BRIT and MOBO nominations and has opened for Beyoncé.

The gig is in The Great Hall at Alexandra Palace, London N22 7AY. Doors open at 18:30, and tickets start from £39.22.
