Stand-up show by comedian Nathan Cassidy, winner of Best Show at the Edinburgh Fringe 2026, about love, hope and finding light in the darkness.
Nathan Cassidy brings The Unbearable Tragedy of Being Happy to Camden Comedy Club on Friday 23 October. It's a stand-up show that does exactly what the title suggests: it looks at the irony of happiness, and it's billed as an ambitious comedy about love, hope and finding light in the darkness. It's also presented as a work in progress, so you're catching it while it's still being shaped.
Cassidy is a stand-up comedian and the host of Daily Notes, a podcast that's reached a million downloads. He's coming off a strong run in 2026: his show won Best Show at the Edinburgh Fringe, and it picked up nominations for Best Show at both the Pegasus Awards and MedFringe. Critics have called him an 'auteur' and a 'cocky performer' who knows how to control a room, which gives you a fair idea of the energy he brings to the stage.
