Stand-up show by Ed Mulvey, a nominee for Best Newcomer at the Edinburgh Ish Awards 2025, for ages 18 and over.
Ed Mulvey brings his hour-long stand-up show For Sale – Dead Dog, Never Worn to Camden Comedy Club on Tuesday 27 October. It's a solo night, with Mulvey presenting it himself.
The show takes its title from a premise that's as bleak as it is absurd: after his imaginary dog died, Mulvey decided to exploit the death for marketing purposes. He describes the result as a double measure of grim hilarity with a chaser of unworn dog, and makes a point of adding that it isn't just dogs that are dead. He bills the whole thing as the shortest story ever told, and it runs for about an hour.
Mulvey is a stand-up who leans into dark humour and politically charged material. He was a Best Newcomer Nominee at the Edinburgh Ish Awards 2025, and the reviews have been kind: The Scotsman called him a first-rate joke writer, Chortle described him as an original thinker, and BroadwayBaby.com called the show hilarious. If you're into comedy that doesn't shy away from the grim side of things, this is exactly the kind of set that lands.
