Trip-hop duo Morcheeba play the Troxy with opening act Alex Cornish, headlining the 34th EFG London Jazz Festival.
Morcheeba are playing Troxy on Friday 13 November, and it's more than just a single night. The gig opens the 34th EFG London Jazz Festival, ten days of live music across the capital produced by Serious with EFG as title sponsor and supported by the BBC, Arts Council England and the PRS Foundation.
They're performing their eleventh album, Escape The Chaos, which came out in 2025. It's a long way from where they started: the band formed thirty years ago when multi-instrumentalist Ross Godfrey invited East London singer-songwriter Skye to play him a song at a South London party, a meeting that launched their trip-hop career. Over three decades they've released ten studio albums, sold more than 10 million records and become synonymous with soulful calm and cinematic cool. They've headlined Meltdown Festival at the invitation of Chaka Khan, and Escape The Chaos is the first record they've put out since then.
Opening the night is multi-instrumentalist Alex Cornish, who has toured with Kathryn Williams, Alison Moyet, Steve Nieve and Amy MacDonald and appeared on BBC Radio 2 and BBC 6 Music. He'll set the stage before Morcheeba take over for the main set.

Doors open at 19:00 and the music starts at 19:30. Tickets are £31.50 to £44 including fees, and since it's the opening night of the festival, it's a good place to start if you're planning on seeing more over the ten days.
