Electronic music show headlined by Marshmello with Alison Wonderland, part of the Pokémon Night Out event at The O2.
Marshmello plays The O2 on Tuesday 10 November, with Alison Wonderland supporting. It's not a standalone gig, though: the night is called 'Pokémon Night Out', the first time the Pokémon brand has stepped into the global EDM spotlight. They've partnered with world-renowned artists to put on a live music event with custom sets and visuals made exclusively for the occasion, and this is the London stop. The whole thing sits within Pokémon's 'What's Your Favorite?' campaign, which marks 30 years of the franchise.
Marshmello, the stage name of Mello, is the headliner. He describes his approach simply: 'I just want to make good music... that doesn't require you knowing who I am.' His sound pulls from a wide spread — dance, dubstep, EDM, bass, rap, latin, pop, electronic and trap — so the set should cover a fair bit of ground. Alison Wonderland opens the night, and together they'll be working with those custom visuals and sets built for the Pokémon partnership.
