Free teacher preview of the Agatha Christie exhibition at the British Library with author Janice Hallett, part of the library's schools programme.
Janice Hallett is coming to The British Library on Wednesday 25 November, from 17:00 to 19:30, for a teacher's preview of the Agatha Christie: A World of Mystery exhibition. It's part of the library's free schools' programme, which runs workshops, tours and teacher CPD events across London, Leeds and online, and this evening opens the exhibition itself.
Hallett is a journalist, screenwriter and author who has written seven best-selling novels for adults and two for children. Her debut, The Appeal, was a Waterstones Thriller of the Month and won the CWA New Blood Dagger; her second, The Twyford Code, was named Crime & Thriller Book of the Year at the British Book Awards 2023. She's also moved into writing for younger readers: her first murder mystery for 8-12s, A Box Full of Murders, came out in 2025, followed by Death at the Museum in 2026. Given the Christie connection, it's a fitting pairing.
On the night, teachers can meet the schools' team, network with other teachers and hear from Hallett herself. It's a chance to get a first look at the exhibition and chat with an author who's spent the last few years writing her own mysteries for adults and children alike.
