Derren Brown brings his new show of mind control, illusion and storytelling to the Apollo Theatre in the West End.
Derren Brown is back in the West End with Only Human, running at the Apollo Theatre on Shaftesbury Avenue from Saturday 10 October 2026 through to Saturday 30 January 2027. It follows a sold-out tour across the UK and Ireland, and for Brown it's his eleventh West End production and nineteenth tour overall. He's worked with a few names before this one: Derren Brown Showman, Something Wicked This Way Comes, Enigma, Derren Brown's Svengali and Derren Brown: Miracle.
He's billed as a master of mind control and psychological illusion, and that's exactly what the show pulls from. He mixes mind-reading, illusion and storytelling to ask what it means to be human, playing with perception, belief and the fragile line between reality and illusion. Critics have called it a masterclass and a live investigation of free will and prediction delivered with the tension of a Hitchcock thriller, with audiences giving it standing ovations and reviews saying he remains at the top of his game after more than two decades of redefining live entertainment.
On the creative side, Brown is working with Stephen Long and Andrew O'Connor, with O'Connor directing. The show runs about two hours and twenty-five minutes, including one interval, and is recommended for ages 12 and over.
