Manchester indie rock band The Falls play Rough Trade Liverpool on their EP release tour, with opening act The Lottery Winners.
The Falls play Rough Trade Liverpool on Friday 23 October, with The Lottery Winners opening. It's a stop on their tour across the UK and Europe, and they're out promoting their new EP, Would You Do It All Over Again.
If the name doesn't ring a bell, it's because they've come up through the Manchester underground. Formed in 2023, they're one of the indie rock bands getting a fair bit of talk around the UK right now. The lead singer is only 18, and their debut EP, Viva La Falls, has already passed 100,000 streams and earned them a record contract. That's a lot of ground to cover in a short space of time, especially for a band that's barely a few years old.
Their sound is built on sharp guitar riffs and lyrics that often sound older than the people writing them. There's a bit of a double edge to it: it's nostalgic, looking back to the guitar bands that came before, but it's also refreshingly new. That's the same energy they're taking on the road with Would You Do It All Over Again, so you'll hear the new material alongside the songs that got them noticed in the first place.
