Hands-on clay session presented by Charm Club to make and fire small pendants or charms, suitable for all ages.
Charm Club are hosting a hands-on clay session at Rough Trade Liverpool on Sunday 1 November, starting at 13:30. It's a creative afternoon in the middle of the city, and the session is open to all ages, so it works as a solo thing or something to bring the kids along to.
During the session, you'll make and paint between two and five small pendants or charms. There's a bit of flexibility in how you use them: they can be worn as a necklace or as earrings, or kept as ornaments for your Christmas tree. You're in charge of the making and the painting, so you'll leave with a few pieces that are entirely your own.
What happens after the session is the part that takes a bit of patience. Each piece is glazed and fired in a kiln twice, reaching temperatures over 1000 degrees, so it's a proper ceramic process rather than a quick craft. You won't take them home on the day; instead, you'll get an email when they're ready to be collected from Lark Lane Pottery, The Old Police Station, Lark Lane, L17 8UU, which usually takes about three to four weeks. It's a nice way of having something to look forward to as November turns into December.
Every week we pick 🏆 the 5 best 🏆 things to do in Liverpool and send them to your inbox. Just one weekly email, no spam.

The session runs from 13:30 at Rough Trade Liverpool, 54-56 Hanover Street, L1 4AF, and costs £36.26.
