A full day of live acoustic music from the Cavern Club's resident artists on the front stage, followed by the weekly Monday Club open mic.
The Cavern Club runs its Monday acoustic schedule on 2 November, a full day of live music across the front stage that starts at 11:00 am. The bill is made up of the club's resident acoustic artists, and the sets run back-to-back from the morning right through to midnight. It's a long stretch of music, so you can drop in for a single act or hang out for several in a row.
The morning starts with Richard Batty from 11:15 am to 1:00 pm, followed by Brendan O'Rourke from 1:15 pm to 3:00 pm. Craig LW takes over from 3:15 pm to 5:00 pm, and Clark Gilmour plays from 5:15 pm to 7:00 pm. The evening continues with Callum Mac from 7:15 pm to 9:00 pm, and Jay Murray closes the front stage from 9:15 pm until midnight. That's thirteen hours of acoustic sets in a single day, with each artist getting a fair slot to work with.
From 8:00 pm, the night shifts gear with The Monday Club, the venue's weekly open mic for original artists. It's hosted by local musician Ian Prowse, known for his work with Pele and Amsterdam, and it runs for free alongside the main stage. If you're a performer yourself, it's a chance to get on stage; if you're just watching, it's a different side of the club to see.
