Free Halloween special for children up to six and their parents or carers at the Little Liverpool gallery of the Museum of Liverpool.
Winnie the Spider and friends are taking over the Museum of Liverpool for a Halloween special, running from 24 to 31 October. It's part of the Little Liverpool Spooky Specials, a series of Halloween-themed sessions put on for the city's youngest visitors.
The show is aimed at children up to six and their parents or carers, so it's one of those things you'll be doing with the little ones in tow rather than on your own. Winnie the Spider is the star of the show, joined by her friends for a Halloween-themed performance. It's a gentle, family-friendly way to mark the season without anything too scary for the under-fives.
You'll find it in the Little Liverpool Gallery, a dedicated space within the museum for the city's smallest visitors. It's not just this one show, either: the gallery runs free events and activities, museum trails, and daily film screenings throughout the year, so if you're already there for Winnie, there's plenty more to keep a toddler occupied while you're around. The museum itself is free to enter, and this special is free too, so it's an easy one to drop into without worrying about the cost.

For a bit of context, the Museum of Liverpool is the newest member of the National Museums Liverpool group, having opened in 2011 to tell the story of the city and its people. Its exhibits are spread across four galleries β The Great Port, Global City, People's Republic and Wondrous Place β and they hold everything from the Beatles collection to costume and art, archaeological material and photographic archives. The Little Liverpool gallery is tucked inside that, and the Halloween special runs from 24 to 31 October, so you've got a full week to pick a day that works for you.
