An eerie evening of storytelling reimagining Charles Dickens's A Christmas Carol, with three ghostly cocktails or mocktails served by the venue's Ghost Hosts.
Ghosts & Spirits is coming to the Everyman Theatre on Friday 27 November, and it's not your usual night out. It's a reimagining of Charles Dickens's A Christmas Carol, but told from the perspective of the spirits themselves: the Ghosts of Christmas Past, Present and Future. Instead of watching the story unfold from the outside, you're hearing it as the spirits recount it, so the whole thing is framed as an evening of storytelling rather than a traditional play.
The drinks are a proper part of the experience, not just something you grab at the bar. Each ticket includes three cocktails or mocktails, one for each ghost, served to match the past, present and future as the story moves through them. They're brought over by the venue's Ghost Hosts, so the drinks arrive in time with the storytelling. If you're not drinking, the mocktails are there too, so you still get the full set of three.

It's a long one, running for about three hours, and it takes place downstairs at the Everyman, which keeps it separate from the main stage. Because of the length and the nature of the night, it's recommended for ages 15 and over. Tickets are £32, and that covers both the storytelling and the three drinks, so you've got your evening sorted in one go. It runs from 7:30pm to 11pm on Friday 27 November, downstairs at the Everyman in Liverpool.
