Guerlain Makeup Masterclass

Guerlain are hosting a makeup masterclass at John Lewis Liverpool on Wednesday 18 November, from 12 pm to 1 pm. It's a lunchtime session, so it's one of those things you can slot into a working day without needing to clear your whole evening.

The whole thing is built around the party season, which is exactly when most of us start worrying about how to actually do our makeup for Christmas and New Year's. The idea is to help you find your perfect makeup match and get a handle on the season's new trends, with tips and tricks for getting your complexion and lip finish just right. If you've ever stood in front of the mirror wondering why your foundation doesn't sit quite right or how to make a bold lip look polished rather than smudged, that's where the session is aimed.

Running the class is Sammy Jo, a Guerlain make-up expert, who'll be walking you through the techniques. It's not just about the how-to, though; the session also introduces the brand's Dressed in Wonder limited-edition makeup collection, the Youth Watery Oil Serum, and the brand-new L'Heure Bleue fragrance. So you'll get to see the new stuff in action rather than just hearing about it.

Tickets are £10, and that amount is redeemable against any Guerlain product you buy on the day, which effectively makes the class free if you were planning on picking something up anyway.
