Screening of the documentary 'Everybody to Kenmure Street' followed by a panel discussion and Q&A on immigration enforcement, part of Right to Remain's National Week of Solidarity to End Immigration Detention.
Seven Arts is screening Everybody to Kenmure Street on Sunday 25 October, as part of Right to Remain's National Week of Solidarity to End Immigration Detention. The film follows Glasgow residents who drop their daily routines to gather on Kenmure Street after learning that enforcement officers plan to deport their neighbours — a moment of neighbourhood solidarity that sparks an impromptu grassroots movement.
It's not just a screening, though. The film is paired with a panel discussion and Q&A run by Right to Remain, Leeds Anti-Raids and Anti-Racist Movement. The conversation draws out how Home Office enforcement — including reporting, raids and detention — affects people, families and communities, so the film serves as a starting point for a wider look at the subject.
