Screening of the 1992 Muppet Christmas musical adaptation of Charles Dickens' tale, part of Hyde Park Picture House's Wintertime festive season.
The Muppet Christmas Carol is coming to Hyde Park Picture House from Friday 18 December to Wednesday 23 December. It's the 1992 musical take on Charles Dickens' A Christmas Carol, directed by Brian Henson and distributed by Park Circus. Michael Caine plays Scrooge, and the Muppets bring the rest of the story to life, with Kermit the Frog and Miss Piggy among them. The plot follows the one you know: Scrooge is visited on Christmas Eve by the Ghosts of Christmas Past, Present and Future, with Bob Cratchit and his family at the heart of it. Critics have called it one of the greatest Christmas films and Dickens adaptations of all time.
The screening is part of the cinema's Wintertime festive season, a programme of performances, films and activities running across Leeds Heritage Theatres' three heritage venues: Leeds Grand Theatre, City Varieties Music Hall and Hyde Park Picture House. It's designed to bring friends and families together over the holidays, so it's a good one to gather a group for.
