Free beginner-friendly yoga and meditation session led by Indy Community Yoga at the West Perry Branch of the Indianapolis Public Library.
Indy Community Yoga is leading a yoga session at the West Perry Branch of the Indianapolis Public Library on Tuesday, November 17, from 6:30 to 7:30 PM. It's part of a larger series running through the month: meditation sessions on November 3 and 10, followed by yoga sessions on November 17 and 24. This particular night is one of the yoga ones.
Each class mixes gentle movement, quiet meditation, and time to share reflections, feelings, and questions. You can choose how you want to be during the meditation partโsit on the floor, sit in a chair, or lie down. No special knowledge or experience is needed, so you don't have to be a regular practitioner to show up. You're encouraged to bring your own mat, though a few are available to borrow if you don't have one.
The sessions are led by the practice leaders of Indy Community Yoga, a local nonprofit that supports collective well-being through daily meditation and yoga, seasonal silent retreats, and 100% free community care projects. The whole thing is free.
