Watercolor painting workshop for all skill levels led by local artist Jacqueline Collins, with all supplies provided.
Jacqueline Collins is leading a watercolor painting workshop at the West Indianapolis Branch of the Indianapolis Public Library on Tuesday, November 17, from 5 PM to 7 PM. Collins is a local artist, and the session is open to artists of all skill levels, so you don't need any prior experience to join in. The library provides all the supplies you'll need, which means you can just turn up and start painting without worrying about brushes or paper.
The venue itself has a long history in the neighborhood. The West Indianapolis Branch traces back to 1897, when the first branch opened after the area was annexed into the city. A 1912 building, funded by a $120,000 Andrew Carnegie Foundation grant, served the community for decades until 1986, when the current 5,000-square-foot branch opened at 1216 S. Kappes Street. That's where you'll find the workshop.

Since the class is open to all skill levels, it's as much for someone who has never touched a paintbrush as it is for someone who paints on the side. Collins will be guiding the group through the session, and with the supplies provided, the only thing you need to bring is yourself. The workshop runs from 5 PM to 7 PM on Tuesday, November 17, at the West Indianapolis Branch, 1216 S. Kappes Street, Indianapolis, IN 46221.
