Drop-in teen drop-in session at the Martindale-Brightwood Branch with snacks, art, games, reading and play dough.
So What - Teen Zone is back at the Martindale-Brightwood Branch on Thursday, November 19, from 4:00 to 5:30 PM. It's a drop-in program for teens, so you just show up when you can and hang out for as long as you want.
The Teen Zone is the Indianapolis Public Library's dedicated space for teenagers, built to give them a safe place to decompress after school and build friendships. The formula is deliberately low-pressure: snacks, art making, games, reading, chatting, listening to jazz greats like Miles Davis, crafting and even squishing play dough. There's no registration needed, and the session is aimed at ages 12 to 18.

The Martindale-Brightwood Branch itself opened in 2020 across the street from the previous library building; the original Brightwood Branch dates back to 1901, when it opened as the sixth public library in Indianapolis. You can find it at 2434 North Sherman Drive, Indianapolis, IN 46218. The session runs from 4:00 to 5:30 PM on Thursday, November 19.
