A family-friendly holiday event with a visit to Santa, the Snowfall Express train ride, and a live animal show, suitable for children under six.
The Snowflake Pajama Party is coming to the Indiana State Museum and Historic Sites on Tuesday, December 8, from 6 PM to 8:30 PM. It's built for families with little ones under six, and the dress code is exactly what the name says: everyone is invited to show up in their favorite pajamas for a cozy evening at Celebration Crossing.
The night pulls together a few different holiday traditions under one roof. There's a visit with Santa that includes a 5x7 photo, a ride on the Snowfall Express, and a live animal show with Hedgehog Hannah. Hot chocolate is also on the menu, so you can keep the kids warm while they move from one thing to the next. If you're planning to go, the museum suggests checking Santa's schedule beforehand to see who will be there that night.

Logistically, it's a separate ticketed event, and registration opens on September 8 for members and September 11 for everyone else. Walk-ups are allowed until 7 PM, so you can still swing by even if you didn't book in advance. Tickets are $14 for adults and $14 for youth, with Access Pass members paying $7 and children under 18 months free. Member prices are 25% off. The party runs from 6 PM to 8:30 PM at 650 West Washington Street in downtown Indianapolis.
