Special limited engagement of the giant screen IMAX film about the natural beauty and conservation of the United States at the Indiana State Museum.
America the Beautiful opens at the IMAX Theater in the Indiana State Museum on Wednesday, Nov. 11, as a special limited engagement. It's a giant screen experience that takes a look at the natural landscapes of the United States and the conservation movement that kept them intact.
The film traces how the protection of the country's beauty, wonder, and resources was set in motion by Theodore Roosevelt and other early pioneers, whose principles are still in practice today. From there, it takes you across some of the most iconic and diverse environments in the country: soaring mountain ranges, expansive plains, surprising deserts, flowing rivers, and wetlands. The whole thing is captured with the scale, clarity, and immersion of giant screen cinematography, so it's the kind of thing that really works on a screen this size.

Because it's a limited engagement, it's not going to be around forever, so you'll want to catch it while it's still playing. The theater is inside the Indiana State Museum at 650 W. Washington St., right in the heart of downtown Indianapolis. If you're already planning a museum visit, it's an easy addition to the day.
