ID Fit session with Becca Biedler teaching basic strength-training exercises and how to track progress with minimal equipment.
Becca Biedler leads a strength training session at the Warren Branch of the Indianapolis Public Library on Friday, December 11, from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM. It's part of the ID Fit program, and it's aimed at adults and seniors.
Biedler walks you through basic strength-training exercises and the terminology that goes with them, so you'll know what's actually happening when you're moving. She also covers how to track your progress and how to work out with minimal equipment, which is the part that makes it easy to keep going once you're home. The session includes both a warm-up and a cool-down, so you're taken care of from start to finish.
One of the better perks is that participants get access to Biedler's online platform, meaning you can keep up with the exercises on your own time after the class is over. The library frames the whole thing around a point Ruth Bader Ginsburg made: she attributed her longevity and success to strength training in older adulthood. It's a good reminder that this kind of work pays off over the long haul.

The program is made possible by The Indianapolis Public Library Foundation with support from Honda. The Warren Branch itself is a 16,000-square-foot library serving Warren Township; it opened in 1974 and went through a $1.1 million renovation that was finished in 2016. Registration opens on November 11, 2026, and the session runs from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM on Friday, December 11.
