Gymboree session for babies and toddlers aged 6 to 36 months to introduce sensory play, songs and the beginnings of social play.
Play & Learn with Gymboree comes to the Fort Ben Branch on Monday, November 16, from 10:30 AM to 11:00 AM. It's a half-hour session for babies and toddlers aged 6 to 36 months, led by a Gymboree expert. The program introduces them to sensory play, songs, and the beginnings of social play.
The Indianapolis Public Library frames the session as a class in physical, social, and cognitive developmental skills. Because of the age range, younger children benefit from watching the older ones, and the older children get to be leaders, which makes it a good opportunity for siblings to experience the class together. The program is made possible by the Everwise Foundation through gifts to The Indianapolis Public Library Foundation.
The venue itself is worth a mention if you haven't been in a while. The Fort Ben Branch is around 22,000 square feet and was the first library branch in Indiana to become a Certified Autism Center. It also has a rooftop solar photovoltaic system that provides 80% of the building's electricity needs.
