Free basic computer class in Spanish for seniors and adults, covering the internet, email and Microsoft Office and Google Docs.
Clases básicas de computación en español is happening at the Fort Ben Branch of the Indianapolis Public Library on Saturday, October 31, from 10:30 AM to 12:00 PM. It's a free class taught in Spanish, and it's geared toward seniors and adults who want to get more comfortable with their devices and the programs they use every day. The whole point is to help people build enough confidence to reach whatever goals they've got in mind, whether that's keeping up with family or handling things on their own.
The session starts with the basics: an introduction to computers and how to navigate the internet. From there, it moves into setting up an email account and working with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, as well as Google Docs. It's a broad sweep of the tools most of us run into, so if you've been avoiding certain programs because they feel a bit daunting, this is a good place to start.
Every week we pick 🏆 the 5 best 🏆 things to do in Indianapolis and send them to your inbox. Just one weekly email, no spam.

There's also a digital creativity workstation and a seed library that runs from March through September, plus a drive-up book return for when you're just passing through. The class is free, and it runs from 10:30 AM to 12:00 PM on Saturday, October 31.
