Hands-on afternoon retreat with meditative walking, sensory-awareness, gentle movement and creative activities to use nature for emotional balance.
Personal Peace Practices Retreat: Nature is Nurture is happening at the Peace Learning Center at Eagle Creek Park on Sunday, October 25, from 1 PM to 5 PM. It's a hands-on afternoon built around the idea that returning to natural spaces invites us to slow down and reconnect with what our bodies and minds need.
The retreat focuses on accessible, evidence-based ways to use time outdoors, creativity, and body awareness to support emotional balance, and looks at why nature helps calm the nervous system. You'll spend the afternoon moving through a few different practices: meditative walking through the autumn landscape, sensory-awareness and grounding exercises, gentle movement, and nature-inspired creative activities. There are also simple techniques for calming the nervous system woven in.
