Hands-on craft session for children ages 6 to 12 to design and make their own custom magnetic bookmarks at the Central Library.
Marvelous Magnetic Bookmarks is coming to the Central Library on Thursday, November 12, from 4 PM to 5 PM. It's a hands-on craft session for school-age children ages 6 to 12, and the whole point is to make your own custom magnetic bookmarks.
During the hour, kids work through a few different art techniques to design and put together their bookmarks. It's not just about the finished product, either—they'll find out how magnets actually work as they go, so the project ends up as a piece of functional art they can use every day. If you've got a kid who loves to draw and a book they're currently working through, it's a nice way to combine the two.
