Low-impact seated chair aerobics session led by a Through the Ages Fitness instructor for seniors and adults.
Through the Ages Fitness is bringing its Low Impact Exercise (Chair Aerobics) class to the Indianapolis Public Library Southport Branch on Thursday, November 12, from 11:00 AM to 11:45 AM. It's a seated session led by a Through the Ages Fitness instructor, and it's part of their low-impact program, which is aimed at seniors and adults.
One thing to keep in mind: they describe this as a class best suited for people who have already attended an in-person Low Impact Exercise (Chair Aerobics) session with them. It's not a total beginner's introduction, so it's more of a continuation for those who've already dipped their toes in. Depending on the location and the group, some sessions may advance to standing, so it's not strictly seated the whole time.
The program is made possible by the Indianapolis Public Library Foundation with support from Honda. The venue itself has a bit of a story: the Southport Branch opened back in 1967 as a small storefront in the Madison Square Shopping Center. Later, Perry Township residents raised more than $5,000 for more books, and a new 15,700-square-foot library opened on East Stop 11 Road in 1974, which is where you'll find the class.
