Toddler program in which children become 'little scientists' and learn about animals native to Indiana.
Indiana Animals for Toddlers comes to the Warren Branch of the Indianapolis Public Library on Wednesday, November 18, from 10:30 to 11:15 AM. It's a morning program built for toddlers, and the whole thing is led by the Indiana State Museum.
The idea is simple: the program invites toddlers to become 'little scientists' and investigate the many animals native to Indiana that they might encounter in their own backyard. It's a chance for them to get a closer look at the wildlife that lives right here in the state, rather than just reading about it in a book. The session runs for 45 minutes, so it's a short, focused window that fits right into a toddler's attention span.
Behind the scenes, the program is made possible by the Everwise Foundation through gifts to The Indianapolis Public Library Foundation, which is how it ends up as a free offering at the library. The Indiana State Museum brings the expertise, and the library provides the space.
