Homeschool STEAM: Messy Art

Homeschool STEAM: Messy Art is coming to the Franklin Road Branch on Wednesday, November 4, from 2:30 PM to 3:30 PM. It's an hour set aside for school-age kids to explore different ways to create art and get messy in the process. The library asks that everyone dress for a mess, so maybe steer clear of anything you're worried about staining.

The session is part of the library's homeschool STEAM program, which brings together art, crafts, and hobbies with science, technology, engineering, arts, and math. It's one of those activities where the making is the whole point, and the messy part is where the kids get to experiment and see what happens when they stop worrying about staying inside the lines.

The Franklin Road Branch serves Franklin Township and has been in its current 18,000-square-foot facility since 2000, when it replaced the 1969 Wanamaker Branch. It's located at 5550 South Franklin Road, Indianapolis, IN 46239. The session runs from 2:30 PM to 3:30 PM on Wednesday, November 4, and is open to school-age kids.
